Job Description

Create design prototypes, including graphic design, content layout& usability of web applications, Intranet & Internet pages, design reviews, Perform maintenance & updates to various web sites and web applications. Understand cross browser compatibility issues & build pages.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create effective graphics art for wide array of web projects

• Multitask between several ongoing projects while maintaining a focus on each project's target audience

• Providing and maintaining the “creative vision” of Web sites/applications by determining and implementing the creative design.

• Taking lead in graphical/design direction for Web sites/applications, and for assessing front-end usability/user experience and the effectiveness of the information architecture in supporting it.

• Creating and effectively arranging graphics, images and all other content into a creative, cohesive and visually stimulating end-user experience.

• Creating demos, intros and specialty projects using Flash or similar technology.

• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, new ideas and solutions for how to creatively develop high quality interfaces.

Technical Skills

• Experience designing Web-based information systems

• Must be well versed in standard Web design software (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady, Dreamweaver, Flash).

• Solid understanding of the Web and Web technologies

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional design teams and programmers

• Must have a solid grounding in information design principles and standards for the Web, as well as an ability to design and optimize graphics for efficient bandwidth transfer.

• Should have strong HTML, DHTML skills.

• Must be able to hand-code HTML from scratch with a mastery of all the syntax, including a thorough understanding of CSS.

• Experience in JavaScript is a plus.

• Experience in Flash strongly recommended with knowledge of ActionScript a plus.

• Experience developing rich, interactive interfaces is a plus.

• Strong grasp of information layout, web design, color coordination, and other design-related concepts.

• Excellent Communication Skills and logic in flow of a product and User Interface design.
