Technical Sales Engineers

The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team and engineering team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our customers. The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, and must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop Scope, Estimates and help in sales team to prepare presentations
  • Assist potential customers with software evaluations and proof of concepts. Build customized product demonstrations
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs and serve as liaison between the sales, technical and support teams.
  • Provide customer training and participate in initial implementations.
  • Assess customer implementation needs, and, using knowledge of Open Source Solutions (Specially Drupal, Moodle, Web Applications, Social Sites, SugarCRM), make recommendations to the customer on best implementation practices.
  • Provide technical expertise on sales calls - approximately 75% telephone/25% on premise
  • High preference of candidates with five or more years experience selling complex technology to senior corporate executives with a proven track record at achieving/exceeding assigned sales quota
Technical Skills: 
  • Expert on working with Web Applications, Workflow applications, PHP, MySQL based projects
  • Experience with Drupal, SugarCRM, Symfony is huge plus
